“When it comes to women’s collegiate golf, few names carry the legacy and impact of LaJean Gould. For more than 30 years, the Women’s Collegiate Championship she founded has stood the test of time, creating opportunities for young women to learn, compete, and grow in the game of golf.
LaJean’s lifelong and unwavering commitment to developing young girls and collegiate athletes reflects her deep passion for the sport and her belief in the power of opportunity.
Arcis Golf is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of this enduring championship—an event that continues to elevate women both on the course and within the business of golf.” said Linnet Carty from Arcis Golf.
Arcis Golf is honored to once again serve as Presenting Sponsor of the Women in Golf Foundation National Women’s Collegiate Golf Championship. For decades, WIGF has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to growing the game and developing women leaders through golf. We are proud to support an event that aligns so closely with our values of inclusion, equity, and community investment. In addition to serving as Presenting Sponsor, Arcis Golf is pleased to provide participating teams with access to practice and prepare at Arcis facilities nationwide, ensuring these student-athletes have the resources and support they need to compete at the highest level.
Championship Week will begin with a welcome reception and networking event, followed by the annual Professional Development Session and the Business Collegiate Golf Scramble, where student-athletes compete alongside corporate executives and industry leaders, building relationships that extend beyond the course and into future careers. A cornerstone of the week is the Professional Development Workshop Day, which equips student-athletes with resume-building and interview preparation sessions, career-readiness programming, and meaningful networking opportunities that connect them with corporate and industry leaders. “This year’s theme is ‘Champions Your Power. Elevate Your Presence.’ We are pivoting from a noun to a verb, to focus the participants towards movement to advocate for themselves as they move forward with their careers,” said LaJean Gould.
The event will also host a women’s golf clinic designed to introduce and engage more professional women in the game, expanding access and strengthening the pipeline of women leaders who leverage golf as a business and networking platform.
The week culminates in a 54-hole stroke-play competition featuring women’s golf teams from across the country. The winning team in the championship division will claim the prestigious Renee Powell Cup, while the Division II champion will earn the inaugural LaJean Gould Cup, named in honor of Women In Golf Foundation founder LaJean Gould, whose vision and leadership helped create expanded opportunities for women and girls in golf, recognizing emerging program excellence and competitive achievement. In alignment with WIGF’s mission to create tangible competitive and professional pathways, the Division I Low Medalist will earn an exemption into an Epson Tour event, the official developmental tour of the LPGA, providing direct access to professional competition. The lowest-scoring individual in the Division II competition will receive an invitation to compete in the Pro-Am alongside an LPGA Tour player and global executives at the Chevron Championship, an LPGA Tour Major. These opportunities reinforce WIGF’s commitment to bridging collegiate excellence with elite professional and career advancement.
