Changing the game for women and girls in golf

For more than 30 years, we’ve been growing a nationwide movement that creates lifelong opportunities for girls and women, from their first swing to their professional careers.

That’s why our programs go beyond the course, nurturing leadership, confidence, and connection in every step of
a golfer’s journey.

Our Story

Founded in 1991, the Women in Golf Foundation began with a bold idea: that golf should be accessible to every girl and woman, especially those from underrepresented communities, and they should be empowered with the support, resources, and mentorship to thrive.

What started as a single collegiate championship has grown into a dynamic network of programs, events, and partnerships nationwide. We’ve helped thousands of young women build skills, form connections, earn scholarships, and step into leadership.

For over three decades, we’ve been building a vibrant pipeline, from beginner camps to college championships to executive events, that empowers females at every stage of their journey.

Today, our programs span summer camps, mentorship, competitive play, and executive development, all grounded in a belief that golf is more than a game - it’s a lifelong tool for building confidence, relationships, and opportunity.

At every level, WIGF is where access meets opportunity. And we’re just getting started.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower girls and women through golf by creating equitable access to skill development, leadership, and lifelong growth.

We serve as a launchpad—where young golfers find confidence, collegiate athletes gain exposure, and executive women expand their influence through the game.

Through our programs, mentorship networks, and competitive play, we help participants build the skills and community they need to succeed—wherever life takes them.

Our Programs

Youth Programs

Our youth initiatives provide a welcoming and supportive pathway for girls to explore golf, build skills, and discover what’s possible.

We focus on inclusion, mentorship, and leadership development to keep girls engaged and growing at every step.

Collegiate Championship

This annual invitational event brings top women’s collegiate golf teams from HBCUs together for competition, mentorship, and exposure.

With industry leaders, executive networking, and an LPGA exemption on the line, this championship is a game-changer for emerging talent and rising stars.

Executive Programs

Designed for women in business, these events merge golf with professional development and networking.

Whether you’re new to the game or closing deals on the back nine, our executive programming builds confidence, expands access, and connects women through shared purpose.
