Programs

The organization has three core program areas:

• Youth Program
• Collegiate Program
• Career Women

All programs focus on the development of life, leadership and competitive skills learned through the game of golf. Program participants learn to play a game that mirrors life and its obstacles. The instruction addresses the physical and the mental game as well as its relationship to life, thus developing self esteem and the ability to move forward and help them prepare for successful careers in the golf industry and the corporate world. While the organization focuses on girls, boys that apply are considered and accepted if space permits.

Program Outputs:

• Young females play golf in pursuit of scholarships to attend institutions of higher learning to further their education.

• Support is provided to women's collegiate programs and to females in college programs to improve their golfing skills and academic performance in preparation for careers. The foundation facilitates internships, industry job awarenes, networking opportunities and access to industry experts and corporate role models.

• Personal development for corporate females - Sessions teach how to use golf as a career development opportunity.

• The overall goal is to contribute to grooming some of our best young women of preparing them for the world of golf and for the workplace.

Funding:

These efforts are funded via fundraisers, grants, corporate and personal contributions. The signature fundraising event is the Women's Collegiate Golf Classic. In addition to this annual event, the organization secures grants and other funding sources to support youth learning the game of golf. The Women In Golf Foundation is current operating with a USGA Grant and Growth of the Game Grand from the PGA of America Foundation.
